There are many perks to working at a Young Life camp.  One of which is the use of a fully functioning auto shop.  Today I put my car up on the lift and did some routine maintenance.  Changed the oil and put an engine block heater in my practically new Subaru.  Putting the heater in required me to undo the engine block plug, thus spewing anti-freeze all over the floor.  Nasty.  It’s very comforting to have multiple experienced maintenance men watching you work when attempting things you haven’t tried before!  Many thanks to Brent, Robert, Wayne, Gary, and Sutton for the tips today.

Before I even began work on the car, I had to learn how to drive the Skidster in order to move it out of the machine bay.  That’s a fun little machine. I look forward to the time when the bucket is on the front and I get to scoop something!

Tomorrow we (the guest services trio) have a meeting in Silverthorne.  Should be fun.
